John C. Steele II, M.D.

Dr. Steele joined Midland’s Psychiatry in 2007 after completing his adult psychiatry residency training at Palmetto Health Alliance. A native of South Carolina, he completed his undergraduate and medical school training at the University of South Carolina. He has been board certified in Adult Psychiatry since 2007.

Dr. Steele enjoys working with a wide range of adults from college-aged students to the elderly. He provides treatment for a large spectrum of psychiatric illnesses including mood disorders, depression, anxiety disorders, sleep disorders, and ADHD. He is also available for Independent Psychiatric evaluations.

In addition to providing outpatient psychiatric treatment at Midland’s Psychiatry, Dr. Steele has served as the medical director for Newberry County Memorial Hospital Behavioral Health Services since 2007. Dr. Steele has also enjoyed working for the Mental Illness Recovery Center of Columbia since July 2010 helping to serve the homeless, mentally ill population of the Midlands.
