John Jason Buckland, D.O.

Dr. Buckland is an adult and forensic psychiatrist who has worked with Midlands Psychiatry since 2010. Dr. Buckland received his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and attended medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Buckland then completed his training in Adult Psychiatry at the University of South Carolina/Palmetto Health Alliance where he served as Chief Resident and was selected as a Rappeport Fellow by the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. Dr. Buckland then completed a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the University of South Carolina/Palmetto Health Alliance in 2009. Dr. Buckland is board certified in Adult and Forensic Psychiatry.

Dr. Buckland provides treatment for a wide range of adult psychiatric illnesses including depression, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. He is also available for consultation and forensic evaluations in both criminal and civil matters. These include but are not limited to Competency to Stand Trial and Criminal Responsibility evaluations, Psychiatric Disability evaluations, Independent Psychiatric evaluations, and Personal Injury/Psychiatric harm evaluations.
